Board of Supervisors approve FY 2025-26 salaries

On April 22, the Calhoun County Board of Supervisors approved the following compensation structure for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025.

Auditor

Current Salary . . . $71,514

Increase . . . $1,500 +1%        

FY 2025-26 Salary . . . $73,745      

County Attorney

Current Salary . . . $110,868

Increase . . . $1,500 +1%

FY 2025-26 Salary . . . $113,492

*This is a shared position with Sac County.

Recorder

Current Salary . . . $71,514

Sheriff

Other matters discussed during April include:

• The adoption of the FY 2025-26 budget. During the public hearing, there were no comments and no objections were filed. The budget is available at the Auditor’s Office for the public to review. 

• Secondary Roads would like to hire a full-time summer intern for 10 weeks to work in the Engineering department. 

• The 2025 Dust Control Policy. Calhoun County will subsidize the cost of two dust control applications on county roads, at a rate of $40.00 per application per residence outside of any city limits.

• There was no meeting on April 15 due to a lack of agenda items.
