Emergency responders were called to the scene of a serious bus crash late Wednesday morning on Iowa Highway 4, north of the Twin Lakes area in Calhoun County. Authorities report that a charter passenger bus overturned along the highway, prompting a large response from law enforcement, emergency medical services, and the Iowa State Patrol.

Approximately 33 people were on board the bus at the time of the crash. Officials have confirmed that multiple occupants sustained serious injuries.
