Nobody likes a bully. In a recent announcement by the South Central Calhoun Community School District, Dr. Brooks Gibbs will be at the SCC High School Auditorium on August 25 to speak about anti-bullying and resilience.

Presentations to students will be throughout the day, with a free evening session at 6 p.m. for parents, students, and community members.

Gibbs is a psychologist who has been advocating for anti-bullying and resilience education for the last 20 years. As a part of a social and emotional learning movement, he specializes in teaching youth about being emotionally resilient and living by the Golden Rule.

Prize drawings will be held at the door.
