Girls State Wrestling Update

Girls State Wrestling got underway Thursday morning in Coralville, with three South Central Calhoun wrestlers competing on the opening day of the tournament.

Goldie Davis at 100 pounds, Emery Kramer at 110 pounds and Meia Hefley at 135 pounds all dropped their opening-round matches before moving into the consolation bracket. Each wrestler picked up a win in the first round of consolations to stay alive in the tournament.

In the second round of consolations, Kramer earned another victory to advance, while Davis and Hefley were defeated, bringing their seasons to a close. Kramer will wrestle again Friday morning in the consolation bracket.

100-Pounds
