SCC FFA kicks off the school year with annual Chapter Field Night

South Central Calhoun FFA is planning to hold their annual Chapter Field Night, starting at 6:15 p.m. on August 31 at the SCC FFA Farm, located two miles north of Lanesboro.
They will be hosting a potluck meal, followed by a program from President of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, Brent Johnson. Johnson is a resident of Manson.
The field night began in 1976, when the farm was purchased and has occurred every year since. The farm was purchased for SCC FFA members by the Chapter Farm and Fruit Association.
The Farm and Fruit Association meets three times a year, and includes both FFA members and adults in their meetings.
