SCC to begin playoffs at Underwood on Oct. 24
SCC football finished an up and down regular season on a positive note, with a big win over Pocahontas to secure a third-place finish in the Class 1A-2 standings. The Titans have earned a trip to Underwood for the opening round of the state playoffs on Oct. 24, 2025.

County EMS seeks voter approval for property tax: Funds would sustain expanded services, secure new equipment
This November, voters will decide whether Calhoun County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is an "essential service." A vote in favor would unlock funds in the form of a property tax levy, of up to $0.65 per $1,000 of assessed value.
