Tough week for Titan football
Football took a backseat this week at South Central Calhoun (SCC). The community was still trying to come to grips with the tragic loss of Cadyn Ogden when the Titans took the field for the homecoming game against IKM-Manning on Sept. 12.

Melody to lead cross country in 2025
The SCC cross country team enters the 2025 season trying to replace a solid group of runners who moved on after graduation. That’s a problem for many schools, but it appears SCC has a strong group of young runners who have the potential to step in and make those losses less impactful.

If you know South Central Calhoun alum Derrick Henkenius, it comes as no surprise he is back in Lake City helping the community he grew up in.  Henkenius is a physical therapist at Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics and coaches football.
